Back to Business

Back from my inauguration-week sojourn to Canadian ice, which marks the real beginning of the semester for me. I wish I could say I was excited. While its true that some of my classes sound interesting, when it comes to being deeply invested I find my mind is…elsewhere.

Most of my multimedia efforts in Canada were spent filming, filming on a camera which records in a file format which I do not yet possess the means to edit. I know, I’m a bright one. That being said, once I get some of the photos from the other fellas, I throw a brief write-up online.

From what I’ve heard the inaugaration went well and as expected despite my absence. Everybody said “I do,” or whatever it is they say at those things, nobody blew anything up, and everyone was cold. Perhaps in twenty years when all the young-uns are asking me what it was like to be in DC during the inauguration of Barack Obama I will look wistfully off in the distance and painfully explain how I went ice climbing in Canada instead; but I doubt it.

North Country

It has been far too long since I’ve made a pilgrimage to the land of “eh” and mutlicolored currency. My last visit was back in 2007, and as part of my New Year’s resolution to do more stuff with things that are/look like weapons I am hopping on a plane in a few hours. Because more important than its diction or money, Canada has ice! Lots and lots of ice!
