Moving Pictures

My new toy just arrived in the mail today: the Canon Vixia HF100. This thing is tiny! I’ve been wanting my own video camera for a while; we used to do a lot of video stuff back in high school and college, but since I don’t have my own camera I haven’t gotten the chance in a while. Now that will all change. At just under a pound the HF100 delivers full HD video, so carrying it up on climbs shouldn’t be a big deal. Hoping for some quality video this next week in Zion.

Ghetto Hillbillies?

That’s what these aspiring filmmakers are calling themselves, strange as it may be. Nonetheless, they were at the 24 Hours of Horseshoe climbing competition with some video cameras, generator, and work lights. Here’s a little trailer they’ve put up.

Oh, the French

We ran into some French dude named Maurice in Potrero Chico this Spring Break. Our buddy Andre put together a nice little video of him cursing his way up Celestial Omnibus – a really nice tufa line that starts about 150 feet off the deck. Great exposure and super aesthetic.

Here it is, enjoy.
